Similar to the ablation of ITO on glass substrates, the ablation of ITO on plastic substrates uses a UV wavelength 355 nm laser. For the use in plastic there is less power needed than in glass and Photonics Industries offers two models that are perfect for this application. The Q-switched DPSS DS and DC series lasers great for this application as they will ablate the ITO on the surface without damaging the substrate itself.
