Senior Laser Engineer, R & D
Responsibilities:
Photonics Industries is a leading OEM manufacturer of diode-pumped solid state lasers, for both industrial and scientific applications. We are located in central Long Island, NY. As part of the Research and Development team, you will be responsible for:
- Technical development of new laser products
- Technical development of extensions to existing products
- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting production difficulties
- Identify and resolve quality problems.
Must be a strong contributor functioning with minimal supervision. This is a hands-on laboratory position.
Requirements:
The candidate will possess Ph.D. in Physics/EE/Optics. New grads encouraged to apply. 3-5 years experience in laser development with significant emphasis on Nd:YAG, Nd:YLF, Nd:YVO4, and/or Ti:Sapphire laser. Experience in nonlinear optics, SHG, THG, or OPO is a plus.
Laser Sales Engineer
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be joining our dynamic sales and marketing team. As a vital member of this the customer focused support group the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our worldwide customers and distribution network including email, phone, and field service support of our standard, as well as customized solid-state laser products
Some domestic and international travel is required.
Requirements:
The candidate will possess Bachelor or Masters Degree in an optics/lasers or related technical field.
Experience with lasers is preferred, but we are willing to train most motivated candidates.
