Photonics Industries has shipped the short pulse, approximately 4ns, Nd:YLF based laser to its industrial application customer for material processing.

The DS Series DS20 Nd:YLF based laser produces >5mJ/pulse @1053nm, 3mJ/pulse @527nm, >1.5mJ/pulse @351nm all @1kHz with the pulse width of 4ns and diffraction limited mode quality. The repetition rate can be varied from single shot to 10kHz. The rugged and compact design features a field replaceable laser diode. Patented and patent pending UV generation technology produces high harmonic conversion efficiency, and reliable operation. Applications for this product line are for microvia drilling, laser cutting, laser marking, trimming, material processing and scientific research.
