(Bohemia, NY - November 12, 2008) Photonics Industries International has broadened its product line to now include an air-cooled version of its diode pumped eye safe wavelength laser. These lasers are procuced at a fixed wavelength selected in the 1.5um to 3.4um (NIR) wavelength range. The new DC-ES series offers eye safe laser wavelengths in the 1.5um to 1.6um, at up to 10 mJ/pulse with 6-10ns pulse widths in a very compact air-cooled package. The repetition rate for this DC-ES series can be from single shot to 200Hz. Applications of this innovative air-cooled laser include:

• Eye safe Wavelength Ill umination
• Eye safe Wavelength target Range Finder, Designator
• Eye safe Wavelength Coastal Defense LIDAR
• NIR Spectrometry(e.g., 1.5 to 3 um for fiber absorption study)
• Mid-IR Spectormetry(e.g., Continuous excitation spectrum research)
• Chemical Detection Spectorscopy(e.g., methane detection)
• IR-MALDI
