Photonics Industries offers single longitudinal mode (SLM) as an option for its DS line of lasers. Similar to our narrow line width option for our DC line of lasers, there is slight power reduction when compared to its DS counterpart. There also exists an inverse relationship between line width and coherence length, so the shorter the line width gets then the longer the coherence length becomes. Our DS line of lasers with an SLM option is good for applications that require high power and small line width.
