Photonics Industries International Inc., the global leader in advanced diode-pumped solid-state laser technology, today announced a major performance enhancement to its popular DX-355-50 nanosecond laser. The upgraded model now delivers 50 W of UV output at 100 kHz, offering significantly higher throughput, improved process stability, and broader compatibility with next-generation micromachining applications.
Building on the proven success of the DX Series, the new DX-355-50 variant maintains its compact, all-in-one design and industry-leading beam quality (M² < 1.2) while introducing extended repetition rate capability for faster processing and finer control. With pulse energies exceeding 1 mJ, pulse widths around 12 ns, and superior thermal management, this update provides users with a more powerful, reliable, and production-ready UV solution, ideal for integration into high-volume manufacturing environments.
“Manufacturers are demanding UV laser sources that combine high average power with faster repetition rates to meet modern throughput targets,” said Matt Johnson, U.S. Sales Manager. “By optimizing the DX-355-50 for 100 kHz operation, we’re giving our customers a drop-in performance upgrade that enhances process speed and consistency without requiring any redesign of their existing systems.”
Every DX-355-50 system includes Position Synchronized Output (PSO), Dynamic Pulse Energy Control (PEC), and real-time power monitoring and self-calibration for precise, repeatable operation. The water-cooled, monolithic design ensures long-term stability and minimal maintenance, critical for 24/7 production environments.
“As adoption of high-frequency UV processing continues to accelerate across Europe and the Middle East, this upgrade delivers exactly what our customers have been asking for,” said Hans Taylor, EMEA Sales Manager. “The enhanced DX-355-50 combines Photonics Industries’ proven reliability with the speed and performance needed to stay competitive in today’s industrial laser market.”
The upgraded DX-355-50 continues Photonics Industries’ tradition of U.S.-engineered laser innovation, providing manufacturers with a powerful, high-throughput UV solution for demanding applications in microelectronics, glass, ceramics, and polymer processing.
